in5/DDFC members working in Data Science, Blockchain, AI, IoT, Security, Development Operations, Mobile and Web, Data and Analytics can get the support and advise they need in designing, debugging, and developing, their solution from certified developers as well as access to programs to help startups accelerate.

Registration

 

The advisory sessions will take place as below:

  • Mondays from 12-4 PM with Microsoft
  • Alternate Wednesdays from 2- 4pm with IBM

Advisory with Microsoft on Wednesdays from 12-2pm are scheduled on – February 27th, March 13th, March 27th, April 10th, April 24th, May 8th, May 22th, June 5th, June 19th, July 3rd, July 17th, July 31st

Advisory with IBM are scheduled on Wednesdays from 2-4pm – January 23th, February 6th, February 20th, March 6th, March 20th, April 3rd, April 17th, May 1st, May 15th, May 29th, June 12th, June 26th, July 10th, July 24th

Naiyarah Hussain, Developer Advocate at IBM

Naiyarah Hussain is a web & mobile developer, and the Developer Experience leader for IBM in the UAE. She mainly develops in JavaScript or Python, but also works with PHP, Java & C#. Specializing in AI & Machine Learning, Naiyarah works with developers from startups, education, enterprise or open source communities to build their applications using IBM Cloud. On the weekends, you might even find her attending a tech meetup or a hackathon as a mentor or participant.

Mahitab Hassan, Developer Advocate at IBM

Mahitab Hassan is primarily involved with the developer community, acts as a mentor in hackathons and startup weekends as well as conducts workshops/meetups that covers topics including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science, IoT, Machine Learning (ML), etc. with the aim of raising awareness around these technologies and how IBM Cloud can be utilized to simplify working in these areas. She previously worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in Sharjah, UAE, where she also received her M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering. Her main interests revolve around AI, Data Science, ML, Deep Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and computer vision applications.

Bedang Sen, Developer Advocate at IBM

Bedang Sen is a software developer part of the IBM Developer Experience Team. He recently graduated from the University of Wollongong in Dubai with a degree in Computer Science and majors in Digital System Security. He has development experience in C/C++, Java and JavaScript. Bedang is passionate about Cyber security and fields of AI like Computer Vision & Visual Recognition. He loves developing and pitching proof of concepts.

Microsoft

Microsoft has launched a community engagement and outreach program to engage with local Startups and SMBs in the region. Combining the experience of both firms, their aim is to help local startups capitalize on their digital assets and reduce their service delivery costs.

Omar El Sabaa – Microsoft

Omar is the Business Program Manager at Microsoft. With a strong technical background and experience working closely with startups to understand more about their business needs, plans, their digital solutions and challenges, Omar helps startups address technical issues as well as help them scale their business and widen their customer base.

Dana Fawaz – Startups and Innovation Program Manager, Microsoft

Dana is startups and innovation program manager at Microsoft Gulf. Dana is greatly invested in developing the startup ecosystem in the UAE. Prior to her role at Microsoft, she worked as an investments analyst at Digital Spring Ventures in Abu Dhabi. She also completed her master’s in Engineering with Innovation and Entrepreneurship from University College London (UCL). Prior to UCL, Dana pursued a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from the American University in Dubai.
